  • RESIDENTIAL DEPARTMENT ESTIMATOR/ PROJECT MANAGER (MECHANICAL)
    Position Responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementing and tracking of all projects and activities. This position is responsible for project management, estimating and designing HVAC, Ventilation, Gas, Plumbing and refrigeration systems. Is the primary liaison for our customers, directing communications and settling concerns or issues if they arise. Responsibilities Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget. Site and plans reviewed as required to design and estimate residential and small commercial projects. Heat loss/gain calculations, Duct design, Equipment selection, pipe sizing, acquiring permits and coordinating inspections. Ensure that the department always adheres to all safety policies and procedures. If required, hiring field personnel based on current and future project schedules. Maintain quality control measures on all projects to prevent re-work, callbacks and potential insurance claims. Help develop and manage departments’ fiscal budgets. Allocate resources effectively to support projects and department requirements. Collaborate with other department managers and staff within the company. Job Qualifications 5+ years’ experience managing team members within a mechanical trade environment. Driver's license (REQUIRED). Journeyman Plumber with red seal certification (REQUIRED). Have a gas B ticket (REQUIRED). Experience with HVAC/R, ducting and sheet metal. Strong general computer and documentation skills. Strong understanding of project contracts. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical IFC drawings and related specifications. Create and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, wholesalers, engineers and stakeholders for current and future projects. Previous estimating experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards.
